With its cold, fresh climate and cleaner air compared to bustling Manila, most travellers inlcuding locals flock to Tagaytay especially during the weekend. Tagaytay is only 1 1/2 to 2 hours away from Manila and provides a different environment compared to the busy Philippine capital and other big cities within the country. The most popular kind of accommodation here is the Bed and Breakfast, which is a small boutique hotel that has a limited number of themed rooms and provides free breakfast for their guests.

Places to stay Sagada

Sagada is quaint little town within the Cordillera Region in the north so don't expect a lot of amenities inside the accommodations. Finding a place to stay with a good location is easy because pretty much everything is located in the center and are of very good value. Most common bathrooms though don't have hot water but you can purchase it per bucket which costs around 50php.

Malapascua might be a small island, but finding a place to stay here will not cause any problem since the island's main beach, Bounty Beach is filled with hotels and resorts that offer different types of accommodation for every budget. Malapascua was fairly recently "discovered", specifically during the 90's. Before that time, the locals' main source of livelihood is fishing and farming, but due to the tourism boost and the sudden building of hotels and resorts, tourism became the main mode of living within the locals.
